Experienced Counsel in Natural Resources and Federal Indian Law
About Us
We know how agencies think—because we’ve been there. Between us we have more than 40 years of experience working as attorneys within the Office of the Solicitor, United States Department of the Interior. In addition, Mariel Combs has extensive experience working on natural resources issues for non-governmental organizations, state government and the government of New Zealand while Stephanie Lynch previously was the sole proprietor of a human resources consulting business focusing on federal agencies.
Our Approach
Our experiences have shaped our approach, which combines practical insight with a steady commitment to fairness, compliance and results. We strive to foster the government-to-government relationships that shape federal Indian law decisions while at the same time serving as zealous advocates for Tribes and Tribal members. We also work with clients on natural resource issues affecting federal lands and waters. Finally, we have expertise in general federal laws ranging from the Freedom of Information Act to the Civil Service Reform Act to the Federal Tort Claims Act.
